C programming language

C was developed back in 1972 by the world-famous Bell Laboratories in the United States. Despite its age, it is one of the most popular programming languages currently in use and is a fundamental language in the field of computer science. Not only can you develop applications in C, but operating systems are also developed using the C language.

The Arduino that we will be using for the 2023-24 Ormskirk Code Club sessions is programmed using C. This means that our young members will learn the fundamentals of one of the world’s most important programming languages. The coding skills the obtain from their time with us will also be transferrable to other languages. These skills are in much demand by employers and many colleges and universities off courses to develop these foundation skills further.
